Introduction
Theres not that many Windows Phone 8 devices besides Nokia, and I think this makes Nokia devices all the more appealing at least for one segment of the consumers, namely the ones that enjoy Windows Phone 8 on their phones. Still, Lumia 520 is clearly worth our attention for reasons other than its Operating System.
Overview
First of all we should note that Nokia Lumia 520 looks remarkably good with its almost flawless design. This sure is one impressive and elegant terminal that even though built from some sorts of plastic still feels robust and in no way cheap. One thing I’d love to see improved is with its back cover which doesn’t provide for a confident, firm grip. Lumia 520 comes with a 1 GHz dual-core processor that runs Windows Phone 8 smoothly on its quality 4 inch display. Unfortunately, the model is only equipped with 512 MB of RAM, but it is not a slow terminal. The GB flash internal memory can be expanded with a micro SD card up to 64 GB. Another significant drawback is the lack of a frontal camera which is a bit awkward for smartphones today.
Verdict
Nokia Lumia 520 is unquestionably a smart choice for those who are looking for a Windows Phone smartphone that comes at a very affordable price. This device is elegant and well-built despite some minor issues with the materials. The display on Lumia 520 is a quality one, and the 5MP camera does a pretty decent job. If you can live without a frontal camera and don’t want too much from a smartphone so that 512 RAM are enough, then Lumia 520 is a smart, affordable elegant Windows 8 Phone you should give a chance.
