Definition of - Active 3D
- Active 3D
The active 3D system works by showing the image in one eye while blocking the other. When this is repeated for each eye quickly the two different images create a 3D effect. An active shutter system needs heavier glasses that a passive 3D system and needs batteries making them much more expensive.
