If you're like most people then your streaming activity will be a bit of a mess. You might watch some catch-up on a games console or smart TV and even have a streaming box like an Apple TV or Roku to play movies. Most of us also have a selection of movies and TV shows saved to hard drive. So that means the PC is used to play those. So a mess of devices and boxes, and when you want to watch a movie that's on the hard drive but you are on a console? It means moving too another room monitor, turning on another device etc.

But it neednt be this way. It is easy to set up a HTPC using your existing computer, or even splash out on a new one. So why would you do that i hear you ask.

Benefits of having a HTPC

A computer can have attached a massive 1,2,3 or even 4TB hard drive thats much bigger than any other hardware can manage.
A PC can run all the catch-up TV services that may be blocked on smart TV, console and streaming devices.
Super quick boot up if you run a stripped down and quick loading operating system.
Can use a wireless mouse/keyboard or even a dedicated remote, so you can keep the box under the TV without trailing wires
Can run the best media software frontends in XBMC and Plex.

So follow us as we help you to create a stunning HTPC for little or no cash.
