Optimizing Your Screen For Best Viewing

The advances in video on the web are bringing in displays that are uncannily brilliant.  If you’ve paid for a big screen you’ll want it to display the content as best as it possibly can.  If you’re using your desktop or laptop or tablet that goes double.  Optimizing your video streaming and viewing is of high importance.

streaming-aggregatorsWithout getting too technical as it can be lengthy and confusing, the basics means you might need help in optimizing your screen.

Things you can do at home are checking your rig (computer)to make sure the proper settings are in place.  Normally this is done by default by the manufacturer but technologies change by the time the system gets to you. 1080P is the top resolution nowadays and if your graphics card isn’t top of the line you’re missing out.

Also is your screen backlit or LCD or whatever? Each system is different so what you have for your computer won’t be the same as your tablet.

A great picture without decent sound is a waste of time, so check out how to optimize your sound system for streaming purposes.

Here are some shortcuts you can take with the help of others.

First check the manufacturer.  They’ll have their own guidelines and a top manufacturer will have a message board or community whereby members share their tips.  These tips can be of exceptional value as they often troubleshoot what the manufacturers have overlooked.  All you need to do is ask your question or use their search features to find your computer, OS, and screen.  In minutes you could be watching your favorite movies and shows in optimum performance.

Tech sites devoted to video like worldtvpc.com have articles covering everything video.  Get familiar with sites like this that have communities too.

Mind you, an optimized system means less energy used and keeps your system safe from wear and tear.  If you’re lucky you’ll find a kindred spirit along the video community that will walk you through on how to optimize your systems.

Either way, get the best out of your entertainment value and not need to know how to optimize my system for better video performance.

I find if you defrag the hard drive (you can find it in the tools menu of Windows) and clear the memory by stopping all those programs that run in the background, then streaming is ace.
