Review: Thrills and Kills to Continue With Two More Dexter Seasons
With September thirtieth just around the corner, all Dexter fans are happy to know that long awaited season 7 is about to start airing. Although Dexter's eight season will be the final one, with two more seasons ahead, Dexter is yet to bring thrills to its fans for some time.
CBS's TV Show Dexter, first aired back in 2006, has done much good to actor Michael C. Hall, well known for his excellent acting in Six Feet Under where he plays the role of David Fischer and does an excellent job at that as well. Portraying Dexter in this thrilling CBS Series seems however to suit Michael even better. The cold-blooded Miami forensics expert fighting his own daemons on his free time is probably Michael C. Hall's best performance so far. Dexter's dark past, watching his mother killed in front of him and lying in pool of blood for hours before the authorities discover him and his brother, sure leaves deep scars in his psyche.
The tragedy of his childhood seems to have transformed Dexter in a cold-blooded killer, even psychopathic in his lack of remorse or actually any feeling. However, as the series unfolds we learn he sticks to a certain code and that his killings always do justice in a way, as he is only after criminals and thugs that would generally be out of the reach of the law. Dexter is also gradually developing strong relationships that resemble love, and as we go deeper and deeper into the series, his more human side start to make us wonder exactly how much of a psychopath is he in the end and how could he turn out to be, in fact, much more than we expected.
Dexter's season 7 is just around the corner, and we can only imagine the thrills and kills it's going to bring to our TVs. The excellent job Michael C. Hall has done so far on Dexter might turn into an Emmy if everything goes as expected this season, as I am sure it will.

Review: My Review of Dexter Dexter (Michael C. Hall) is a Miami police forensics expert at day and a fierce killer by night. In a sense, Dexter is a vigilante as he sticks to his code and only kills proved criminals that manage to elude the police. Being a forensics expert with the police, he has access to both information and the means to pursue criminals on his own. Dexter has no known biological parents, and he was raised by a policeman Harry and his wife Doris Morgan. As the series unfolds we learn that something awful had happened to Dexter before he was adopted, something that no one seems to remember, not even Dexter, but it was something so awful that it turned him into a cold blooded killer. Harry is the one to first notice the young boy’s demons and teaches him always to stick to a code so that he only kills criminals and doesn’t get caught. Although interested in medicine at first, Dexter decides to pursue a career as forensics expert with the Miami police. Of course, this is because he wants to have access to more resources that can help him find criminals and kill them himself. This is how he gets to work with is step sister Debra (Jennifer Carpenter), Harry’s daughter, a young detective herself. This is an action packed series, and there are enough twists in the plot to make your head spin. Dexter is becoming more creative with each episode, but he is always on the brink of getting caught because the police are always looking for the same people he is trying to kills o this adds up to the tension in the series. Verdict: Dexter is a pretty rough TV series that you wouldn’t have your children watch. There’s always a body to be disposed of, and there is blood all over the place. The show is also pretty funny, though in a darker sense. So it is not a series for children, but it sure is one good psychological, dark humored thriller that’s worth your attention.
