Used to be great. Now just barely watchable., October 12, 2009 Reviewer: Cy from NH, USA - See all reviews by Cy

SpeedTV used to be called Speedvision, until it was bought by Rupert & Co. (FOX). Now, it's just endless NASCAR drivel and related (cheap to broadcast) events. They do cover F1, and they even show MotoGP, but where Speedvision had two hours of MotoGP, SpeedTV thinks one hour is enough, even though they MISS ENTIRE LAPS by cutting to commercial and have little to no pre/post race action (they didn't even show it for a while there, then went to showing it at 3AM for some reason, like Rupert's afraid that only liberals care about actual, real, genuine world-class racing). And the same is true of the rest of their coverage nowadays. Mostly completely pointless fluff, with moments of greatness getting harder and harder to accidentally come across during the wee hours of the morning. EXCEEDINGLY disappointing for anyone interested in actual coverage of actual motorsports. NASCAR has its place, but this is totally absurd.
