| Plot Outline: |
After a run-in with the law, Haley Graham ( Missy Peregrym) is forced to return to the world from which she fled some years ago. Enrolled in an elite gymnastics program run by the legendary Burt Vickerman ( Jeff Bridges), Haley's rebellious attitude gives way to something that just might be called team spirit. |
| Plot: | - Haley Graham is a former gymnast-turned-juvenile delinquent whom, after one too many run-ins with the law, is forced to enroll at an elite gymnastics academy, the VGA in Houston, Texas which is run by the legendary Olympic gymnast Burt Vickerman. But the rebellious Haley is not welcomed into the academy by the other teenage gymnasts whom despise her for walking out on her Junior Olympic team years earlier during a competition which cost them the gold medal. But Haley is not a docile person either and makes every effort to provoke conflicts with the other girls. Vickerman takes it upon himself to coach Haley in his own way to make her regain her self respect for the VGA's coming spot on the Gymnastic Nationals. Written by Anonymous
- Haley Graham is an ex-elite gymnast who, after being on the wrong side of the law just one too many times, she is sent to her idea of juvy - VGA, a.k.a: Vickerman's Gymnastic's Academy. When she shows up she is confronted with lots obstacles including, soda throwing Haley-haters, up-tight ex-fellow gymnasts, EXTREMELY pushy parents and a whole bunch of wedgie causing leotards. Along with her crazy, skater friends, Frank and Poot, she turns the gymnastic world upside down with her rebellious ways and rockin' routines. The film tells you that anyone, I mean ANYONE, can bend the rules just a little bit. (cough cough.) Written by shmatash (shmatash@hotmail.com)

| User Comments: | This Film Had HEART, 29 April 2006

This was a wonderful film with lots of heart. The other people in the
audience that I saw it with clapped at the end just like I did. How
many films are there about the world of gymnastics? It was original,
and the kids were a lot of fun. The writer-director also wrote BRING IT
ON, another wonderful film, tighter script -but not as much heart.
The cast was good; the lead can act and her two guy buddies played it
well. Jeff Bridges is always fun. I suppose if I had to make one
criticism it would be that the first half moved a little slow and some
of the camera work was uneven: focus was soft in places, and sometimes
the composition was neither here nor there. But I recommend this film.

| Movie Quotes: | Haley Graham: If you think that I'm getting on this competition floor with some stupid, watered down, cookie-cutter routine, you are seriously senile. |
| Goofs: | We know about 28 goofs. Here comes one of them: Continuity: Right after Haley (Missy) tries to apologize to Tricia, as she walks up the stairs and on to the stage and then to her spot in line, the camera is set far back watching the entire stage, as the girls step forward and raise their hand as their name is called, Haley is just getting into line, when Joanne is stepping forward, but when it does a close-up, Haley is already in line, and the person before Joanne is stepping forward, then Joanne proceeds to step forward. |
