How do i rip my dvd's to run on media player?

    Hi All

I am new to running XBMC. I have an Acer Revo HTPC setut. Managed to install XBMC easily enough and can run movie files i already have on my hard drive, but i am stuck when it comes to ripping my dvd's onto a hard drive so i can watch them on my media player. Any advice appreciated.

You need a DVD Ripper. Software that will read your DVD's and save a file on your hard drive. A good one that is free and easy to use is MakeMKV.
