The primary TV channel in most of the British Isles, BBC One was the first-ever TV channel in the UK, making its first broadcast back in 1929, meaning it is one of the oldest TV networks in the world. Throughout its history, BBC One, like the public service broadcaster it operates under, strives to offer its viewers a range of entertaining and informative content, with a range of genres to suit a variety of audiences on the main channel.
