Youtube To Stream Live Sports
Youtube have struck a deal with the Indian Premier League to show live cricket matches this spring. After the successful live transmissions of the live U2 concert and Alicia Keys concert last year which had viewer numbers of 10 million plus.
Now Youtube are getting into the lucrative and high demand live sports streams arena, Google and the India Premier League have announced a partnership that will allow YouTube to serve streams of Cricket’s most important annual tournament to all on the web who choose to see it.

Youtube to show Live Cricket
Starting in March, sixty Cricket matches will be streamed along with an expected sponsor who will pay handsomely for the privelage, possibly helping Youtube to make a profit in 2010.
Bruce Daisley from Google UK said:- “We’re keen to see how the community will take to live sport. There’s a real interest in live events, so we’re excited.”
If successful it could lead to more prestigious events and sports being streamed on the video giant, and would further distance its reputation as a funny videos website
