Youtube Gets Motoring With New Automotive Video Channels
Youtube are going car crazy as part of their 100 TV channel launch. The most recent launches are automative related, firstly comes the Motortrend channel offering reviews, news and test drives of cars, supercars, muscle cars and motorcycles around the globe. The second car offering is called Drive, looking more into the culture of cars.
The channels promise regular new content as opposed to the same video forever looping. The channels come as YouTube competes with broadcasting companies and traditional TV by offering premium, original content on the Google owned website.
Google will be launching over 100 new channels during the next few months, said to be costing them in the region of $100 million. Already launched is the Reuters news channel. The channels will offer new and exclusive content on a regular basis and Google hope they will get mass appeal and drive advertising dollars to the web.
