We Have All Been Over Reacting. Hulu is Still Going To Be.. Free Kind Of
The Internet, in fact the world has been awash this week, with reports that Hulu, the NBC, Fox and Disney owned Free TV website – is going to make us pay to view.
But its all a storm in a teacup, Hulu is just trying to devise a premium pay to view tier. It will apparently keep free streams available of hit shows such as The Office, some cable TV shows and even a selection of movies and it will only be new content that Hulu doesn’t yet offer that will incur a cost to the viewer.
All of a sudden we have another rush of news that its really going to be ok and nothing much will change. So everyone is over reacting to the news and things will continue as they are, we may just have a pay to view for even better premium stuff.
Are these guys for real? Of course we know that there will still be free content and streams. Kind of like you can download a lot of crappy games for free, but want to play something good, then you have to pay.
It will obviously become like this with Hulu, give a few crumbs and some dross for free then hit us with a charge if we want to see something worth watching.
It still stinks and nobody is going to believe things wont change big time. Lets just hope that if/when this happens online viewers leave in droves.
