So for around $199 down you get the device and you need to commit to a $14.99 monthly subscription and you get the FLO TV personal television player. You can watch tv to your hearts content from about 16 popular tv channels. The initial payment does give you 6 months of free subscription TV service. The FLO TV is as good as its possible to get for a TV watching experience on a mobile device, and will have great appeal amongst TV fans who have been looking for a workable small tv to watch whilst commuting on the train or bus. And it makes waiting in the dentist much less stressful.

The device measures around 3 inches tall by 4.4 inches wide and is a mere half inch thick, in relation to the iPhone/iTouch its a little bigger but still has a 3.5-inch screen with touch-screen capability. To emphasise its tv viewing nature, the device has a hinged black flap that acts as a kickstand for hands free watching. Inbuilt stereo speakers which supply a significantly louder sound than the iPhone.

FLO television delivers around 13 channels including content from ABC Mobile, CBS Mobile, CNBC, Comedy Central, ESPN Mobile TV, Fox Mobile, Fox News Channel, MTV Mobile, MSNBC, NBC 2Go, Disney Channel and Nickelodeon.

The coverage area for signals concentrates on large metro areas, so do not expect to travel into the middle of nowhere and start watching tv. The reception within the coverage area is great for a mobile device, obviously you wont get a HD picture you may be used to at home, and the signal occasionally drops for a second or two when the signal jumps between towers.

Whatever you mobile device of choice is, the fact that there is now technology out there giving pretty much instant buffer free mobile tv can only be great news. And it means us TV geeks can go out sometimes. Check out FLO TV
