Watch TV On iPad With New Time Warner App
If your a Time Warner Cable customer, how about watching some live TV anywhere you go? Well you lucky iPad owners that subscribe to TWC now can, with a few restrictions. Being able to watch live TV streaming has been on many a wish list and is now becoming an ever more common reality.
The app for iPad can be downloaded for free so long as you are a subscriber to TWC Digital TV plus Internet services. You will also need a username and password setup, and you can only watch the streaming inside your own house and can only stream over Wi-Fi. So a bit of a bummer, but better than nothing.
When your set-up and ready to rock you can see 32 channels in HD.
Time Warner join rivals Verizon and AT&T who allow subscribers to stream tv both live and on-demand. The big cable company still lagging is Comcast who are yet to release the promised live streaming Xfinity app.
In use the app is very simple andeasy to use with a simple tap bringing up the channel guide over the stream. You can only see what is on right now and whats coming on afterwards as a full epg is not available.
The Cable companies are targeting the iPad as subscribers are tempted away by streaming on demand from companies like Hulu and Netflix who stream to Apple’s popular tablet PC.

I think it is funny that Time Warner Cable says you can watch TV anywhere, when in reality, you can only watch in your home on your iPad. Sure that sounds great, but come on, that is not TV Everywhere at all. TV Everywhere means that you can watch TV when and where you want. I can do that with DISH Network. I have an account and I also work for DISH as well. Using the DISH Remote Access app, I can stream live TV or recordings from my 922 SlingLoaded DVR when and where I want. That’s right, I am not confined to my home just to watch TV on my iPad. Anywhere in the world, as long as I can get a 3G or wifi connection to my iPad, I can watch TV. Now that is truly TV Everywhere.

A grammar error in the first sentence of the page titled “Watch TV on iPad…”. The word “your” shows ownership. The word should be “you’re” or, more professionally “you are”. Your webpage proofreaders are missing things or maybe no one uses actual proofreaders anymore. Too bad. I bet most of your audience will not even notice the error. Wow. Nonetheless, the error makes Time Warner look less than excellent.
