Virgin Media Launch Online Movie Streaming Service

Virgin Media have decided they want in on some of those movie streaming profits and launched a new internet movie streaming service today. Top movies such as Fantastic Mr Fox, District 9 and The Twilight Saga will be available on demand.They also promise a live tv streaming service for later this year.

Prices for watching movies online range from $2.50 (£1.50)- $5.00 (£3.50) for the latest hits. Rentals will stay in your account for a 30 day period but once you press play you have 48 hours to watch them as much as you want. Streaming will be available on a variety of devices from laptops to tv sets to mobile devices.

Currently you can only watch movies in standard definition, but Virgin Media promises a HD service is coming soon as well as an online TV streaming service later in the year. You don’t need to be a Virgin Media customer to use the new movie streaming service.
