Veoh Will Also Make Web TV Software More Lightweight

We have all visited that well known web video portal Veoh which also has a downloadable software app known originally as ‘VeohTV’. This is now being replaced by a simpler browser plugin.

A spokesperson from Veoh says that “We arent discontinuing VeohTV, but over the next week will release a browser plugin thats “significantly lighter than the VeohTV app.”

If a Veoh user is wanting to view a stream that lasts for longer than 30 minutes you have needed to download the VeohTV software, however the new browser plugin has removed that rather huge stumbling block. The plugin is available currently for IE and Firefox on the PC but other versions inc Mac are ‘in development.’

Simply put, veoh is losing audience because of forcing viewers to download software and have now backtracked so power to the people.
