TV And Fries As McDonalds Launch Dedicated TV Channel

Next time you are being served in McDonald’s, get ready to hear the phrase, “Do you want fries with your TV show?”. Well, maybe not. But McDonalds are about to launch their own dedicated in restaurant TV network according to a report in the Los Angeles Times.

Customers are used to TV sets in McDonald’s whowing music videos etc., but the dedicated channel will be customized to each area with local news, high school and college player profiles as well as music, fashion, art, night life, lifestyle and a regular spot for local working mothers says the report.

To make it even more exciting (or to prevent you escaping it), theĀ  McDonald’s restaurants showing the channel will two HDTV’s that can be seen from 70% of the seating areas. But good news is that there will be “Quiet zones” for people that want peace with their meal.

You could soon be watching the McDonald’s Channel as it rolls out in a possible 800 Californian outlets of the burger joint. If succesfull, the project could go nationwide says the report. And as McDonald’s is so popular, viewing figures are expected to hit 18-20 million Big Mac eaters every month.
