YouView has announced new appointments in technology and operations to help them further strengthen their delivery teams ahead of its launch next year.

BT is said to be planning to bundle a YouView IPTV box with its broadband BT Total Broadband packages at some time during the first part of next year.

The BBC and BT have announced more details about the plans to bring the BBC’s extreamly popular VOD service iPlayer to the telecomms DTT IPTV service BT Vision.

YouView is looking for content providers to assist in developing its content system. Speaking at the Westminster Media Forum, CEO Richard Halton said “The hybrid project wanted to work directly with one or two providers to ensure the organization got the right system in place”.
