The biggest sporting event of the year will soon be finding it’s way onto streaming devices for the first time ever. The Super Bowl will have a streaming option when it airs on Feb 5th in Indianapolis say the NFL

Streaming will be available to sports fans on NBC on the TV set, online via NFL.com and NBCSports.com, and also on a number of mobile phones using NFL Mobile only from Verizon.

The Super Bowl is easily the biggest event on TV with the Green Bay Packers beating the Pittsburgh Steelers to win Super Bowl XLV getting a record US audience rating with 111 million viewers. Also available to stream will be the Pro Bowl and NBC’s Wild Card Saturday doubleheader

As an extra bonus to online viewers, will come in the form of extra features that will enhance your viewing pleasure, including extra camera angles, highlights in the game, live stats as well as other interactive features.

Speaking about the development, Hans Schroeder, NFL Senior Vice President of Media Strategy and Development said, “We are pleased to work with our partners NBC and Verizon to bring our fans more ways to watch their favorite sport during their favorite time of the year.”

Additionally, the Verizon NFL streaming will include the broadcast of NBC’s Postseason games, for the first time using a mobile application.
