According to another internet tv survey, around 25% of young adults are watching ever more tv on their computers, so says a new study by Retrevo a shopping/review company.

The study called the “Pulse Report” which looked at the viewing habits of more than 1000 people showed that 23% of young people (25 and under) view the majority of their television shows on the web. Youngsters love watching tv online

Other findings from the report show that not surprisingly, men are much bigger online tv viewers than their female counterparts. 17% of the male respondents view all of their television online, whilst a smaller 9% of females took the tv online option. An interesting question that was asked was – What would it take for you to watch all your tv online? 20% of respondents said that having more hd internet tv would do the trick, next (19%) came more premium content, such as HBO followed by (15%) more live sports content.

More than half (57%) of respondents said they were happy with their cable or satellite service, with only 26% reporting that they have either cancelled or are considering cancelling their service. When it comes to cutting the cord, 15% of those surveyed said that they could move to online tv if prices for cable and satellite services go up.

Andrew Eisner of Retrevo said:- “While the data presented is not enough to send the cable and satellite industry packing, it does suggest that online TV viewership is on the rise, and people are tired of high-priced programming. Although younger generations and mostly males are embracing online shows, with the advent of Internet-capable TVs and the dissatisfaction with satellite and cable service — at least with the hefty monthly bills — we will likely see increasing attraction toward online offerings in the years to come.”

A big factor of watching tv online is for catching up on missed episodes and tv shows. Internet tv is assaulting the population from different directions, on the one hand the younger generation have grown up and are preffering tv online. Whilst more televisions manufactured are internet connected. Soon noone will be able to avoid it.
