Next Wednesday (20 February) will most likely see the fourth incarnation of Sony’s ‘PlayStation’ line of games consoles unveiled, with new images and videos over the past week hinting at what might be to come, and looking back at what has gone before it.
The first item to emerge was a leaked image of what is believed to be the controller of the PS4, with the picture displaying a version very similar to the ones seen on the PS2 and PS3 (carrying on a reliable design that has served the company since the PS1 in 1994), but featuring an exception of what is claimed to be a touchscreen pad in the centre.
Away from future product rumours (of which there are many), Sony seem to be promoting the forthcoming press event by showing the history of the brand, as a YouTube clip released yesterday (15 February) took a look at the first PlayStation console.
The 2-and-a-half minute teaser video, entitled ‘Evolution of PlayStation: The Beginning’, offers an overview of the development and launch of the groundbreaking console, and as usual, the clip in question is viewable at the bottom of the page.
The remaining installments of Evolution of PlayStation will presumably be released over the coming days, but will the impending 4th chapter be able to live up to the storyline?
