The service is already (unsurprisingly) available on Sony Bravia connected TVs and Blu-ray players, as well as Google TV devices. But now it is also available on a limited range of other Smart TV’s from LG and Samsung in the UK, Australia, and the US. Canadian and US owners of Vizio TV’s can also access Crackle. Samsung also get the service on selected Blu-ray players as well.

Speaking for about the move, Sony Pictures Television senior VP for digital networks and games, Phil Lynch said, “The penetration of IP-connected TVs and Blu-ray players in the living room is rapidly growing and these devices are fast becoming the new standard.”

The Crackle app can be downloaded from the relevant app store, and offers hundreds of movies and full television shows with more added each month. Although the content is not as vast or up to date as a pay services, being free makes it great for casual streamers.

If your not the owner of the hardware listed then never fear, the Crackle service is already available on a number of connected devices from tablet, smartphone, computer and video game consoles. Read our Crackle review.

Crackle?? More like Crap-All, this is full of ancient movies/shows and you have to watch all the *&t# advertising as well. If you already have Netflix/Lovefilm then you will never go near this service.
