Another Free TV website showing catch up tv episodes and movies is being launched.

Sling Media the makers of Slingbox, a device enabling viewers to watch TV on PC’s and cellphones are set to compete with Hulu and Joost by launching an internet tv website service. slingbox Sling Media launching a new Free TV website

The new website Sling.com which is set to launch on November 24th will be showing television episodes, movies and channels from well known networks and broadcasters such as A&E, NBC, CBS, Fox, Discovery amongst over 90 partners.

Jason Hirschhorn president of Sling Media said:- ‘Sling.com is a whole new way to deliver a video experience,” even for people who don’t have a Slingbox. And if you have the Slingbox at home, it’s an even more robust experience.’

Whilst admitting the market is getting very crowded he commented that the online video market is still young and requires the momentum of a number of companies to prove to advertisers and content providers that it’s a venture worth backing.

Whilst appearing on the surface to compete with Hulu, in actual fact the site will be distributing Hulu content.

A Hulu spokesman said that ‘Distribution has always been an important part of our strategy to reach audiences.’

Sling has been added to our catch up tv networks category in readiness for its soon to come launch.
