SeeSaw Getting Serious With A Massive Advertising Campaign

New Catch up tv website SeeSaw which launched last week is launching a £5 million TV advertising campaign. designed to make internet tv even more popular and drag viewers to its online streaming site.

SeeSaw is using advertising agency, Fallon who have produced three teaser advertisments which will attemp to make SeeSaw a household name. The agency has previously worked for Sony and chocolate maker Cadbury. The ads will start showing tonight on Channel 4 and will also be shown on Channel Five, ITV and many website destinations.

SeeSaw Huge Advertising SpendSeeSaw, which was created from technology created for the now dead Project Kanagaroo currently offers free tv streams from a catalogue of 3000 hours of BBC, Channel 4 and Channel Five tv on demand content. The company are planning to charge for premium content when it also will add US show content.

When the paid content comes in, the advertising campaign will be ramped up to tempt us all to part with our hard earned cash for virtual tv.

Maya Bhose, the head of brand marketing at SeeSaw commented:- “The first phase of the marketing activity will drive awareness of SeeSaw across a broad audience of TV fans, through both broadcast and online. The brief to Fallon was to bring to life the campaign strapline with a series of engaging executions, reinforcing the relationship between SeeSaw and great TV. Our advertising strategy will develop further as we move towards the pay launch of the service later in the year.”

The commercials feature the SeeSaw logo recreating scenes of romance, comedy and action and will use the strapline – “If you love TV, SeeSaw.com”. You can watch the ads by visiting the SeeSaw website. One thing is for sure, the love will flow while they stay free.
