Samsung Release Iphone TV Remote

How comes you always lose the tv remote? It does not matter how big it is, whether you have a remote pocket, the thing always dissapears just when you need it. Samsung have decided that if you have an iphone, you will look after it a bit more and have released a tv remote app for the phone.

That iphone is so clever

The app does not need much explaining. You use it to change tv stations/volume etc. All from the comfort of your armchair. The app is quite need as it takes into consideration both the on-screen controls as well as gesture-based control for changing volume and channels.

It is a bit restrictive though, as you need a newish model Samsung TV for the remote to work. In fact, the official line is that the app will only work on 2010 models with Internet@TV. And your tv needs to be Wi-Fi enabled.

So that restricts 99% of all tv owners, hey-ho lets start looking elsewhere for a remote app then. If your still interested, the app can be downloaded from the iTunes store

Here’s the problem with app remotes. You have to load them first! When I want to change channel I am in a hurry. I DO NOT want to be loading some goddam app…
