Reuters Launch Youtube Ten Show Channel

Worldwide news agency Reuters, have launched a YouTube channel comprised of ten original news, analysis and commentary shows as they enter the online streaming market with Reuters TV.

The news agency are part of YouTube’s new 100 channel partners announced last November, and will also be streaming content on their own Reuters.com website as well.

Reuters say that the online version of the news agency will make use of high quality production values and an editing style, “suited for internet programming and does not mimic traditional TV.”

The shows that will be broadcast on the Reuters TV Channel are:-

  • Reuters Investigates Featuring investigative journalism and special reports from around the world
  • The Trail Reuters political reporters covering the presidential candidates on the campaign trail
  • Felix TV Hosted by Reuters finance blogger Felix Salmon
  • Media Bite Coverage of the media world from Peter Lauria, editor of technology, media & telecommunications
  • Tech Tonic With Anthony De Rosa, Reuters Digital’s social media editor
  • Freeland File Interviews of top newsmakers with Reuters Digital editor Chrystia Freeland
  • Fast Forward Commentary programme hosted by Chrystia Freeland and featuring David Rohde, Rob Cox, Bethany McLean, David Cay Johnston, Steven Brill and James Ledbetter
  • Money Clip With Lauren Young, personal finance editor and former editor at BusinessWeek and SmartMoney
  • Rough Cuts Showcase of news videos shot by Reuters video journalists from around the world. Presented by Jen Rogers
  • Decoder Exploring topical news stories from the debt ceiling to the Strait of Hormuz

The shows that will be on offer were developed by global executive producer for Reuters, Barclay Palmer. Said Reuters’ global head of programming, Dan Colarusso, “This deal with YouTube gives Reuters a way to showcase our collection of talented journalists and compelling video from around the world.”
