Panasonic Viera Gets New Social TV App
The Viera range of connected TV sets from Panasonic now have some extra apps, including a social TV app that lets you socialize whilst watching the show.

In the latest upgrade brings a new Internet Social Network app called, wait for it, Social TV. Now viewers can chat on Facebook and Twitter at the same time as watching content on any compatible Viera HDTV. Additionally Panasonic have launched a new games app from PlayJam and a Bollywood video app called BigFlix.
The Viera range of connected TV sets are designed to allow web functionality straight from the TV screen, by the inclusion of apps which allow extra services such as Netflix, Amazon streaming, hulu plus, Skype and Youtube without the need for an additional set-top box or computer.
The social TV app is an improvement on the old system where you had to leave the TV to socialize. It now runs in a sidebar so you can still watch a show in the rest of the TV screen. Viewers are able to read timelines and post messages without missing any action. Panasonic are also running a promotion that lets users download three free games from Gameloft.

I have a vizio HDTV and an apple tv, and I recently got a set of Bose 201 bookshelf speakers. My hope is to set it up so I can play music through the speakers utilizing the apple tv AirPlay capability as well as play tv sound through the speakers. I admittedly am less than a hundred percent tech savvy and am wondering how I can best make this happen
If I need a receiver, any suggestions on ones that would work well? Assuming somewhere in the 2-3 range
