onlinetvnews 1 Online TV and Video viewing on the riseUS internet users are watching more TV online and Youtube is still the king of the moving images.

Viewers viewed over 12.5 billion videos across the internet in the month of November, zooming up an impressive 34 percent on the previous year, from research by ComScore.

YouTube is still blowing away the competition with over 5 billion videos watched online (40% of the market). Fox Interactive Media came in second place with 439 million videos viewed (3.5%), then came Viacom Digital with 325 million videos viewed (2.6%).

Research also revealed that over 77% of US Internet users watched videos and TV online during 2008. The average internet video watcher saw 273 minutes of video online.

Great news if your making money from online TV and video, websites such as YouTube and Hulu. Analyst’s predict the market for video advertising will increase to 45% to $850 million during 2009.

Internet TV, movies and video viewing will grow and grow, but then have’nt we always said that?
