NOW TV Internet Movie Service Comes Rockin To Roku

The popular Roku internet TV streaming box now has an extra streaming service from satellite broadcaster Sky, as their NOW TV service has been added to the channels available.

NOW TV comes to Roku

Available to UK viewers today from the Roku Channel Store, the NOW TV service launched earlier this year lets you watch movies on demand without any contracts or satellite dish. The service which boasts premium movies 12 months before rival services Netflix and LoveFilm costs £8.99 per month.

Now TV is available via a browser on PC and Mac as well as a downloadable app for smartphones and tablets such as the iPhone and iPad, Xbox 360, YouView and Android devices.

The internet TV service appearing on Roku comes as no surprise after Sky owner, News International invested $45 million in Roku back in July 2012.

Already a hit in the US, the Roku media box was introduced in the UK earlier this year at a starting price of £49 for the entry level LT model and £99 for the top-end HD enabled Roku 2 XS.
