Nielsen the television audience rating company are ready to launch a service that lets advertisers measure online campaigns more effectively with data from across the web, Facebook, and TV.
Traditionally, measurements have been made using click-through rates and impressions. Nielsen will use more metrics such as gross rating points, which combine the reach of an ad and the frequency with which users view it.
The Nielsen Online Campaign Ratings is currently being tested by 80 brands inluding Facebook. Nielsen are also inluding internet viewing figures for TV ratings.
