Netflix Viewers Prefer The Online Movies Option
DVD by mail was how it made its fortune but it seems that Netflix users are watching video on demand from its online movies and tv shows catalogue. The figures are in for the fourth quarter of 2009, and Netlix is showing good figures.
The interesting part of the report shows that nearly half subscribers (48%) are streaming movies and TV shows from the net. This is up from 28% the year previous. To be included in the figures the subscribers had to view 15 minutes of online streams or more.

Netflix Online User Numbers Rise
The figures show that Netflix finished the fourth quarter with around 12,268,000 total subscribers, a 10% rise compared to end of the third quarter of 2009. Net subscriber change in the quarter was an increase of 510,000 for the third quarter of 2009.
It definately shows the way that content is heading – online. For ease of use and convenience, who would choose waiting for the post or going to the store, when everything you need is a mouseclick away.
