New Netflix Interface Gets Negative Feedback
The Netflix website has been given a makeover, and not everyone likes the new design. The new look announced in a blog post. The new look site has been altered to emphasise the streaming options and has bigger title images.
However, this now means that to see a rating or more details, viewers have to hover their mouse over each title. So what used to be visible now involves moving the mouse around and waiting for a box to open.
Responses to the changes have been less than positive. Currently blog responses number around 4,000 mostly negative. Here are some typical customer quotes, ” This is the most terrible change I’ve seen, and if it is not reversed promptly, I will be canceling service.”, “Horrible!”, “It’s quite dazzling how much I hate the new look and feel of the Netflix site.” “The new look is HORRIBLE!!!”
Im guessing it wont be long before a few “alterations” are made.

I really hope the new look gets fixed soon. It’s absolutely terrible for browsing for what you want to watch. It’s become all looks and poor functionality.
Change it back to the way it was, there was nothing wrong with it. This is such a painfully common motif on the internet, a perfectly fine and functional site degrades over time by retarded changes (see Youtube).
I don’t care about the ‘look’. What I care about is that they made it less functional, less interactive, and more difficult to use. Looks support design, and that is just bad design.
It’s quite simple for me.. They say they are aware of the negative feedback yet they will keep the new interface. That’s fine. They will lose my business.
It’s amazing how they’re getting so much bad press…And yet the marketing “guru” for netflix keeps saying how it’s gotten great reviews in testing…and is still getting great reviews…it plan and simple sucks…the ps3 version is worse than the online version

copy paste for old layout. Using it also shows netflix you don’t like the new layout
Weeks later and I find it still irritating to use. The scroll function is unreliable and terribly slow to trigger (let alone not as intuitive as they’d like to believe), as well as, many other fundtions mentioned in other’s comments. It appears company arrogance trumps user response. Just because they blew some cash on a poor design and implementation, why should the rest of us suffer loss of important functionality and speed (let alone more bite into the bandwidth)?
The people who decided to give up functionality for looks should be fired.
This interface in horrible. Whoever reviewed doesn’t actually use it. They took away the ability to sort movies by rating. I am shocked at the stupidity.
They have exactly one month to figure out any changes or fixes or else im canceling. I would love to be a part of a mass cancellation day in response to this. This is just ridiculous. It is much harder to find movies I want to watch instantly.
