House-of-CardsFans of the first season of Emmy award winning, political thriller House of Cards can access a Director’s commentary feature from all six directors that include David Fincher, James Foley, Joel Schumacher, Allen Coulter, Charles McDougall and Carl Franklin.

Subscribers from all Netflix regions can get to the director’s scene-by-scene audio commentary section from the audio/subtitle button on the site or app.

Strangely season 1 of the Emmy award winning show is available on DVD but lacks the director’s commentary option. The new feature will keep fans going until the launch of season 2 which will be hitting our screens on 14 February.

Way to go Netflix. It just shows what an overpriced product the DVD is. five bucks a month for unlimited streaming or $20 for a DVD you watch once. What do you choose?
