Movies to go in 20 seconds
Wouldnt it be great if you could watch any movie you want at a time you want without getting up or driving to pick up a dvd. Well you can and several companies including Amazon, TiVo, Movielink, Apple, Vudu, Netflix, CinemaNow, Vongo and MovieFlix are offering a service of sorts but you have to watch your download on a pc screen. 14 inches of Indiana Jones isnt so impressive though.

You can of course get a Settop box of sorts like TiVo, Apple TV etc will allow you to download movies to your TV, but they then erase it 24 hours later. A DVD sent in the mail is good, but you have to wait for it to arrive.
However Netflix have announced a $100 box that will solve all these problems and offer content for free, whoopee.
The Netflix Roku Player is very easy to use so long as you have high speed broadband of course. It connects to your home wireless network or you can use cable if your still living in the dark ages.
connect it up to your TV using a HDMI cable, component cables, S-Video or RCA cables. The supplied remote lets you play movies or jump to certain points using a thumbnail image system showing the various movie scenes so you can jump to exactly the point in the movie you want.
So where do the movies come from? Well you guessed Netflix.com, where you can select movies from a parade of colorful DVD cases on a scrolling virtual shelf which offers 10,000 movies plus TV shows. Because its a free service the movies aint the latest releases by a long shot however.
However its free content and ready for HD content make it a good $100 spend
