Mobile Phone iPlayer Viewing Habits Revealed
Although times are a changing, viewers still watch tv like they used to, but now they watch tv on cell phones instead of the traditional television set. And many are taking online tv to bed with them.
The BBC of iPlayer fame has revealed how users of mobile phones are watching their catch up tv service. The peak of viewing is at 9.30pm, and prime time runs from 7.30pm-11pm. Amazingly similar if not the same as ‘normal’ viewing habits for watching tv. Mobile TV watching drops on Friday and Saturday evenings when us party animals are out on the town.

Viewers Watching iPlayer on Mobile Phone
Weekend mornings, when users are having an extra snooze time is a great time for iPlayer on mobiles with a significant bump in viewing between 7am and 10am. The BBC said that, overall, Sunday is the most popular day for watching catch-up TV on mobiles.
The BBC did not provide any figures on how many shows are being viewed by mobile. Numbers are thought to be relatively small, but growth is expected to be high as the iPlayer has jumped from being available on four to 22 devices in a year.
