The new Catch Up TV service from Microsoft has now been launched for the UK audience and has hundreds of hours of tv streams at launch to view.

MSN Video Player has launched and amongst the hit shows that are available initially are The League of Gentlemen, Peep Show, Shameless, Hustle and .
The streams can be viewed in Windows Media Video and Flash formats on any windows pc or Mac computer. The only downside is that you must be in the UK (or at least have a UK IP address) to view. No software is required to view the shows.

Here are all the shows available currently to view on Microsoft’s new catchup tv service.

Those sensible people at Microsoft have provided the service for free with advertising paying for the costs involved. As mentioned in our previous MSN Video launch post there will not be any ‘current’ TV shows available to watch. However MSN have secured the streaming rights to around 30 TV shows from the BBC Worldwide and ALL3MEDIA content providers.

Microsoft have stolen a march on Hulu who are expected to launch anytime soon in the UK as well.
