Tesco owned Blinkbox have signed on the dotted line with Metro Goldwyn Mayer Studios, in a deal that will bring the entire James Bond collection of movies to the streaming service.
The deal includes all 22 Bond films including ‘Skyfall’ the most successful Bond movie grossing $1 billion plus worldwide. As well as 007, the deal includes the rights to around 100 movies which include other classic movies such as Silence of the Lambs and Robocop.
The Blinkbox service allows UK viewers to stream content on a rent or buy basis across a number of devices such as PC’s, tablets, Smart TV’s, consoles and other connected hardware.
Talking about the deal announced in a press release (see below), Michael Comish, CEO Tesco Digital Entertainment, said: “We’re thrilled to be able to offer the critically acclaimed SKYFALL and equally excited to offer the other sensational titles in the Bond catalogue. 007 has a special place in our hearts at blinkbox – he loves a gadget and he has moved with the times.”
The announcement comes shortly after another deal was inked between Blinkbox and StudioCanal that will bring another 160 movies to the service. For those of you that want to watch content for free, Tesco are in the midst of launching a free streaming service called Clubcard TV, just don’t expect Bond to be there.

Skyfall & entire Bond catalogue available from Monday 18th February
Tesco’s blinkbox has reached an agreement with Metro Goldwyn Mayer Studios Inc. (MGM) for the legendary James Bond film catalogue, including the latest installment, SKYFALL.
From Albert R. Broccoli’s EON Productions, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, and Sony Pictures Entertainment, SKYFALL is the most successful Bond film of all time, grossing over $1 billion at the worldwide box office. It will be available to rent and buy on the service from Monday, along with the remaining 22 films in the Bond franchise that will be available to buy.
The deal includes around 100 other MGM titles, such as the Rocky and Robocop films, and classics like The Magnificent Seven, The Silence of the Lambs and The Great Escape.
As with all blinkbox titles, the films can be accessed on tablets, games consoles and Smart devices (TVs, Blu-Ray players, set top boxes) as well as PCs and Macs.
