LG is bringing the world of internet tv together by offering video streams from CinemaNow and Youtube in its new Bluray players. The electronics giant is adding to its existing partnership with Netflix to offer a massive online TV and movie choice to its customers. will add video streaming features from CinemaNow and YouTube to its 2009 lineup of networked Blu-ray players, the company said Tuesday.

They will be showing the new line of networked Bluray players at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas during the next week.

LG origionally launched the first online networked Bluray player during July 2008 and offering Netflix content. Users of the hardware had access to over 12000 TV Episodes and movies from its growing database.

Now all LG Bluray customers also will have access to the CinemaNow catalogue of over 14000 TV episodes and movies. Viewers can also watch streaming videos straight from the Internet including catch-up tv onto their TV sets.

LG spokesman Tim Alessi, director of product commented:- “As millions of U.S. consumers view and download movies or TV shows through the Internet, they are demanding easier ways to access content and more home entertainment options. From instant streaming from Netflix to CinemaNow and YouTube, LG is bridging the gap between packaged media and video on demand services to provide entertainment solutions for consumers’ demand for content.”

LG is looking to cash in on the economic downturn as customers cancel expensive cable and satellite TV subscriptions and look to the internet for video entertainment.

Of course over the coming year many more hardware manufacturers will be incorporating internet TV streams into the latest hardware, bringing internet TV to the traditional TV
