IMDb started out as a series of scripts which allowed you to search a lists of credits collected by a USENET group called “rec.arts.movies” in October 17th in 1990. In 1993 character names were added to the movie cast sections, biographies and plot summaries were added.IMDb now incorporates thousands of full length movies and TV shows, individual pages for characters, plot synopses. The sitye now receives over 57 million visitors every month.
By using the search function you can find a movie by the title, one of the actors or even a quote from the movie. You can then pull up actor biographies and see what other movies they have starred in.
Although it will never be a site you visit specifically to watch a movie or show, if you need some info or trivia about a movie or show. IMDb is always the first port of call.

Internet Movie Database or precisely known as IMDB is an excellent site for finding all the details regarding a movie. The reviews are very well written and gives you a great description on whether to watch a movie or not. I have found details on most of the films that I was looking for.
Yep, it’s great. I mean if you hear some great song that you don’t know the name of, you know you’ll find it on imdb. Or if you liked what some character said his quote will we on imdb too! Plus the ratings and comments are really useful picking out what movie to watch:)
