Executives at English TV channel ITV are said to be planning a celebration of the serie’s 10th anniversary in 2012 by throwing a one-off special I’m a Celebrity series with an ’Ultimate Jungle camp’ that would bring together the hit reality show’s most memorable celebrity contestants together to be crowned as the ‘Ultimate King or Queen of the Jungle’.

The channel has been believed to have wanted to implement an ‘all-star’ concept for some time, now, and although it looks as though they are close to achieving this,  there is said to be difficulties in recruiting some of the celeb hopefuls due to strong dislikes with some of the other proposed guests.

Planned recruits for the show are said to include former winners such as Joe Swash, Gino D’Acampo, and Kerry Katona, alongside notable contestants such as Gillian McKeith (unlikely due to her ‘phobia’ list), Peter Andre, Janice Dickinson and Katie Price, amongst others.

The rumours have kick-started some of the show’s roll of honour reliving their in-camp rivalries, and expressing their desire not to go back. Series 3 winner, singer/TV personality Kerry Katona, said of her preferences: “I’d definitely do it again. I saw Ant and Dec the other week and thought, ‘should I say something’? I gave my first crown to charity, so I need another one! If Katie [Price] was on there, I wouldn’t do it then. I’ll do it if Peter Andre does it, and I love Joe Swash, I’d do it with Joe.”

With the general series, which involves a new batch of ‘celebrities’ each year taking up a 3-week stay in the Australian jungle, looking like it may resume in May this year for series 11, will there be a chance for more names to be considered for the ultimate celebrity showdown?
