Hulu Plus To Stream Criterion Movie Collection
Hulu in their fight with Netflix have taken streaming rights from their rival for the Criterion collection of high end movies. The only problem is, who would want to watch them?
Will highbrow movies get more subscribers?
To be fair, the collection does include some old classics, but it is hardly the blockbuster range that Hulu need to try and stop Netflix railroding them. Criterion made their name in feature filled DVD’s and previously had a deal with Netflix for streaming rights.
It comes as a victory of sorts as Netflix have been grabbing all the content deals lately.
The irony is that whilst on Netflix there were no ad breaks to sit through, but on Hulu plus their will be. Considering this is one of the reasons viewers question the value of a Hulu subscription, they seem to be shooting themselves in the foot.
