Hulu introduces Documentaries online section
Forget mindless sex and violence, how about getting educated and informed whilst your vegitating on the couch. Hulu agrees and plans to introduce a dedicated area to its popular streaming TV website. The new area will be solely featuring documentaries.
Hulu spokesman, Andy Forssell said:- “It is really an exciting part of the industry, these filmmakers and their distributors are really looking at streaming carefully. One of the opportunities in the movies area was to focus more on documentaries because the online availability provided them with a great chance to find and reach an audience.”
Forssell said that it was currently working with its content providers sourcing content for the new area whos purpose will be to put all of the documentary movies and shows into a single area on the website so finding documentaries will be simpler.
When its launched the documentary section will feature TV shows from PBS, as well as the recently cancelled FX show 30 Days. Documentary movies include Super Size Me, which was the inspiration for the FX series, Kicking It and Confessions of a Super Hero.
Of course you can find many Documentaries online in our free tv websites area.
