Hulu Considering Charging For Internet TV
Just as everyone gets used to watching all that high quality premium Hulu TV streaming content, comes news that they may start charging for it!
Chief Digital Officer from News Corp, Jonathan Miller has been talking of the dreaded subscription charges for Hulu. The Online TV giant have not announced anything officially but considering News Corp have a stake in the company, you might want to take notice.
Hulu has enjoyed an enormous success and growth since its inception, but has always struggled to make profits, a subscription service would obviously suit the accountants. But what about viewers used to watching Free TV? Many have come from torrent, P2P and other illegal download sites and are watching the ‘official’ versions of top tv shows.
It will be a brave move and could see a mass exodus of users going back to illegal downloading. The other issue is that currently Hulu shows advertising during the streaming, will that continue?
The move from watching traditional TV to viewing online would also suffer. Whatever happens, a pay model would go down like a lead balloon. Hulu if your listening, go down the free route and make your money from advertising.

The only way on earth i would pay is if they lose all the ads. Its the only way that iTunes and Amazon can have a pay model. But the big problem is that there are loads of other places to find streaming content for free and ad free. They are just going back to the bad old days imo.
There is no need for Hulu if it costs.
There are loads of content providers out there giving us what we want for free.
This cannot be happening!!!
Why dont they just charge advertisers more rather than us poor mugs??
I think Hulu would go down the pan just like Napster if this were to occur.
Its a false economy. The current advertisers pay what they pay because of the huge traffic Hulu get. Start charging and the traffics gonna do what??? Yeah die…
No No No No Noooooooooooooooooooo…
Dont make me go back to the shitty pirate sites. I WILL NOT pay to watch tv online. Sorry guys
