So whats the difference between the free to view (Hulu) and the paid versions (Netflix)? In a word commercials – Hulu streams are free to view because of ads during the show, whereas the Netflix streams are commercial free to paying customers and Netflix look to have a wider selection of episodes available to watch.

Netflix ciustomers can look forward to the following streams soon:-

Lost – The first five seasons

Desperate Housewives – Season four and five

Grey’s Anatomy – Season five

Legend of the Seeker – Season one and two

With ABC now joining NBC and CBS supplying TV show streams to the Netflix vod service to compliment their thousands of movies available. It strengthens their position in a heavily filled online TV pool that needs clearing out. They are painfully aware that when the dust settles their will be only a handful of big internet tv fish.

  1. Hulu only has a few seasons of lost… i just started watching and i want to get through all seasons before the new one starts. i use ovguide instead.

  2. That’s a great move by them showing such popular Tv series! Think they should include more comedy shows, though. And a little opinion on Lost. I loved the show on their first 3 seasons, but after that i was like WHAT THE…? It started to look like some.. Just can’t think of any words like now. Still hope to catch up with the new season. Till what year it’s going to be on? 2012? Man they need some good ideas and quick!

  3. I am not sure the online video still a personal experience,eg. YouTube rank in the top
