Google TV 2.0 Update Launches Next Week
The all new Google TV 2.0 update is set to launch next week, running on Android Honeycomb, running TV apps and making searching for content easier and operating your TV simpler.
The update which is set to launch on Sony hardware early next week, whilst the Logitech Revue gets the update “soon after”, Google have announced.
The user interface which now looks more like an Android tablet than the previous Google TV, will have enhancements in the four areas that Google TV users complained about. Making the navigation simpler for the old couch potatos, improving the search functions, bringing the Android market to users and improving the YouTube video app
Of course all the flash interfaces in the world will not help if there is a lack of content. And the word is that the TV networks will still block all streaming onto Google TV. More details when the update launches in the next few days.
If all goes well then we may soon be seeing more Google TV hardware as they have deals in place with Samsung and Vizio.

I paid $99 for this after wanting it for $300.
Best investment in home entertainment I’ve made in a long time – with or without the coming update.
And for those who think the interface is too difficult – hmmm… my 6 years old seems to get around on it just fine.
