Fox Showing In Hong Kong IPTV Service Now TV
Fox are launching a Fox US entertainment branded channel on the internet tv (IPTV) platform, ‘Now TV’ in Hong Kong. The channel shows topUS shows from Fox US including drama, scifi, action movies, animation, comedies and reality shows. There will be first run shows airing at launch including Lie to Me and White Collar, plus the seventh series of NCIS and Bones.
Sonia Jackson, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Hong Kong, Fox International Channels, said: “FOX sets global TV audiences expectation high towards US entertainment.
“The channel received tremendous feedback in many markets such as the US, Latin America, Spain and the Middle East. In Asia, FOX dominated Korea’s pay-TV market as the No.1 channel in the western TV series genre for three consecutive years since 2007.
“In Japan, it is emerging as the No.1 channel on primetime in all cable networks in 2008 and 2009. The channel is expanding aggressively in Southeast Asia, and we are delighted to partner with now TV to introduce FOX in Hong Kong with its rich first-run programming.
“FOX will keep keen and demanding viewers in Hong Kong stay at the forefront of the best US TV entertainment.”
Now TV is a 24 hour pay-TV IPTV service launched in September 2003, the service is operated by the leading Hong Kong fixed-line telecom operator Pacific Century Cyberworks Limited (PCCW).
Fox is busy around the world and is available in over 66 countries including Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela and Chile. Dont bet its still 66 in a few months.
