The Sky Player streams Sky’s most popular live channels, including Sky Movies, Sky Sports and a range of general entertainment channels. All Sky subscribers will be able to watch the streams free with the selection dependent on their existing subscription package, and everyone else can sign up to a choice of TV packages via a subscription deal.

The deal means that in 2010, Fetch TV customers will be able to access the Sky Player, and with it channels such as Sky Movies and Sky Sports.

In a busy week, Sky also revealed that the Sky Online Player will be rolled out to Xbox 360 owners on 27th October.

Sky’s Griff Parry said:- “Sky is committed to offering customers more ways to access our content and our agreement with IP Vision represents an important step in that process. Offering Sky Player through the Fetch TV box gives UK consumers yet another way to experience Sky content, complementing the services already available on satellite, PC, games consoles and mobile.”

Its a good deal for viewers who dont fancy the idea of a satellite dish stuck to the side of their house, but want to watch Sky’s premium content.
