ESPN mobile sports streaming

If your from another cable network then your out of luck unfortunately. After downloading the app, viewers will have to verify they are a cable subscriber then get streaming access. The app has been released at a good time as lots of sporting events are happening such as the NBA playoffs, the Masters and Major League Baseball.

The app will be welcomed by viewers as ESPN was voted must have network by viewers. The app is not iPad dedicated just yet, that is coming in May say ESPN. There will also be versions for a range of other tablet pc’s and smartphones soon.

ESPN was first available on the web last October with other channels ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN Buzzer Beater/Goal Line coming in January 2011 via ESPNnetworks.com. They have the most viewers of a sports channel in the US. Making the channels portable will only make them more popular.
