The Discovery channel have struck a deal with Netflix that will see popular shows such as River Monsters, Say Yes to Dress and Man vs. Wild to the streaming subscription service. Subscribers of Netflix can now watch full content from the Discovery channel, Animal Planet and TLC.

The agreement marks the first time that Discovery have allowed full episode streams on the internet, previously users could only access short clips and YouTube video. The content is said to be from already broadcast seasons and special shows.

Owners of the channels, Discovery Communications have agreed a two year content deal with Netflix, and according to Reuters, is going to be restricted to US only customers

Netflix will be glad of some good publicity after a torrid few weeks, recently it lost content from major partner, Starz who said their content to Netflix will stop when the current agreement ends next February.

Their CEO has also just issued an apology for the mess up they made when splitting the streaming and DVD business models in two.
