Crackle Brings More Free Movies To More Hardware

Viewers on a tight budget can forget about paying for streaming movies and watch Crackle’s range of movies free. crackle owned by Sony lets viewers watch a range of ‘older’ shall we say, movies on a number of different devices that now includes the PS3 console and Roku box.

Crackle streaming comes to more hardware

Crackle which can be seen by US and Canadian viewers is also coming to Google TV, Sony Blu-ray and Bravia connected tv sets. Although the services has been available for a while as a limited service, Crackle are expnding the streaming movie service and promise to add new content every month.

For viewers who can no longer afford cable and subscription services, it comes as a great addition to Hulu for TV and movies on-demand. Movies available include some classics such as Ghostbusters, Big Daddy and The Da Vinci Code and newer movies such as Spiderman 3.

The content comes from Tristar Pictures, Columbia Pictures, Screen Gems and Sony Pictures Classics and are all ad supported. At present the content is not available in HD, but hey what do you want for free?

  1. This has worked on my Sony Internet TV with Google TV sincethe first day. It was in the Sony Recommendations. It might not work for the Revue, but my Google TV has done it since day one.
